The celebration

Honoring who we are

Come together to honor the heritage, traditions and spirit of the Newah community, and help preserve them for the generations after us.

Mha Puja

Mha Puja is a sacred Newah tradition of worshipping the self: a ritual of self-purification, well-being and spiritual renewal, so each of us steps into the new year in body and spirit made whole.

Nhu Da

Nhu Da marks the first day of the new year in the Nepal Sambat calendar, the Newah calendar of the Kathmandu Valley. It stands for fresh beginnings, prosperity and unity.
